As a powerful adaptogenic (anti-stress) herb rhodiola offers broad non-specific effects supporting overall body function particularly via adrenal stress. Active compounds found within rhodiola (rosavin and salidroside) improve the passage of serotonin precursors through the blood-brain barrier.
