Together but alone, we need to help each other cope with COVID19. Below you'll find some information on the virus, how to stop it spreading and what we are doing to combat it in our stores.

Firstly, what is it?

COVID-19 is a new illness that can affect your lungs and airways. It's caused by a virus called coronavirus.

What are the symptoms?

  • a cough - this can be any kind of cough, not just dry
  • shortness of breath
  • breathing difficulties fever
  • (high temperature - 38 degrees Celsius or above) or chills

If you have any of these symptoms, we ask that you do not, under any circumstance visit any of our stores.

For your safety, and the safety of our team, we've made some changes to how we do things. 

Bulk Buying: Let's be fair about this, we want all of you, our customers to get what they need in store. In that vein, you'll notice that some products in our store are limited to a max purchase of two per person. All online products are capped at a maximum of 5 per person.

Sanitization All touchpoints in our store are being disinfected regularly. Our staff are also washing their hands regularly and have been provided with hand sanitizer.

Social Distancing: You'll notice bright yellow and black floor tiles in our stores. These are to help you maintain a safe distance between yourself, other shoppers and our store teams. Please follow these directions, particularly at our till points. To comply with the HSE guidelines we are also ensuring that only a certain amount of people can enter our stores at a time. This may mean you have to wait on occasion and our colleagues will advise you when you arrive. Once it's your turn, our team will be happy to assist you find what you need.

Transactions: We ask that where possible, you pay using contactless or phone transactions. We understand that this may not be possible for everyone but we ask that you do pay with card as often as you can.

Store Navigation: We are taking note of what our shoppers are buying and putting these in easy to find locations to help make your journey a little bit quicker and easier. 

Product Stock: As you may guess in this time, we, along with most other retailers are experiencing some stock shortages. This is nothing to be concerned about, the stock will return to our shelves as soon as possible. That means some products you need may be out of stock when you get here. Our teams will be able to advise on an alternative where possible and if not, reserve the stock for you when it does become available. Give our team member your details and we will contact you once the product hits our shelves again. 

Opening Hours: You will notice that our opening hours are changing slightly. Where our stores are located in shopping centres, we are adhering to the shopping centre guidelines. Our hours have been reduced in all stores and will continue to change as this progresses. We will post any changes to our social media. 

Preferential Shoppers: Those who are elderly, those with disabilities or those with difficulty shopping will be given priority service in store. Please allow those shoppers in need to skip you in the queue where you see fit. 

Working with you: Some of our customers have expressed a desire over the past few weeks to wear gloves, masks or pack their own shopping. All of that is OK with us and we will work with you to ensure you feel as safe as possible in our stores. Just talk to us about your requirements and we will be happy to help. 

Our Team: We are so grateful to have such a dedicated team, especially in times like this. That being said, we have number of steps to ensure they feel comfortable at their place of work during this time. This may mean some staff wearing masks, keeping an extra distance or refusing store entry or asking people to leave should they show any symptoms of the virus or are causing an issue in store. We reserve the right to protect our staff during these times and ask that you comply with anything they may ask of you at this time, however big or small.
